Usability

“the quality or state of being usable : ease of use”
— Merriam-Webster

I want what I design to be able to be used easily. I want the books and fonts I design to be easy to read and the objects I make to be easy to use. I want the function of my work to be straightforward for the reader or user. I not only design with usability in mind, but I also choose tools based on usability. For example, I designed this website in Wix rather than Cargo because I find it much more usable. I can’t seem to get Cargo to do what I want it to. Wix, no matter how much my undergrad professors talked down about it, is simply more usable and doesn’t make me want to throw my computer at the nearest wall.
