Inclusive Design
“The design of mainstream products and/or services that are accessible to, and usable by, as many people as reasonably possible ... without the need for special adaptation or specialised design.”
— British Standards Institute
As someone with ADHD, inclusive design is very important to me, especially when it comes to graphic design. If a book or website is not designed with inclusivity and accessibility in mind, I probably won’t be able to focus for enough time to figure out what I’m supposed to be doing with it. The more inclusive we are with our design, the more people can use it and understand it. Making something inclusive doesn’t only benefit disabled people, but it benefits everyone.
