Questioning Everything

“To question is to consider; to consider lends toward understanding. Therefore by questioning everything, you are looking to gain a better understanding of everything. A lot of people can probably agree that understanding things is generally good; it is the goal of all education programs, school included.”
— Emily Grandinette

Over the summer, during the Amsterdam workshop. I spent an afternoon super overwhelmed in the Stedelijk Museum. I started writing in my notebook to calm myself down and eventually asked the question, “Why do we question everything except the need to question everything?” Are there some things that shouldn’t be questioned? I seem to ask a lot of questions in my writing but I get completely overwhelmed by the questions that other people ask. Why do I question the things I do and why don’t I question the things I don’t?
